Shart and I spoke with NFO this afternoon, after explaining the situation to them, they offered to move the server to another, better, server in Chicago.
The new server will be either a brand new Xeon Xeon Gold 6154 based processor type, running a full SSD array, or a brand new AMD EPYC 7542 machine they are trying out, also running a full SSD array.
The move was initiated at 1:29 PM EDT, and at the time of this writing, 2:11, 28% is done, so I suspect that the move will be over around 4:00 pm EDT.
Note also that we tried out the "no pistols" on gunslingers yesterday and their was a unanimous agreement that it was quite unpleasant. I am thinking of changing the pistols so that there is a limit of the number of rounds that are provided with the pistol, thinking 6, 8, 10, 12. Might also be good to eliminate the fast reload?

It’ll be interesting to see the result. Will you need to do any additional work after they’re done with the move?

No, the ip and everything about the server will stay the same, so nothing on our end needs to be changed.

Thanks Borch - hopefully this solves the issue!
Regarding the pistols - 100% agree we need them on the rifle maps, I think one clip is all you should get (so what is loaded and no additional ammo).
Without the pistols the gameplay was so slow I thought i was on the DB server

It was interesting, because while they were transfering our server over to the new box, I played on Knight's reloaded one and it was having some lag issues as well. I think that they might have some issues about software sharing resources.
I am going to switch it back to v3.0 and see how that works.
Currently we have 8 cores of a 32 core machine, which is NOT loaded with anyone else at this time.

I tried going back to v3.0 and had issues. Gonna stay at 2.9.
